Jewellery Care
Our Jewellery is handmade with the highest quality materials, glass beads and genuine freshwater pearls. They are water resistant and sweat proof. However, to ensure it lasts a lifetime, we recommend the following tips:
- While the pieces are water resistant, it's advisable to remove your jewellery before entering swimming pools, spas and saunas due to the harsh chemicals
- Give perfumes and lotions time to fully absorb before wearing your jewellery
- Try to prevent the jewellery from coming into contact with soaps, detergents, shampoos, fake tan etc, which can cause the metals to fade over time
- After wearing it in the ocean, rinse with fresh water and gently pat dry
- To avoid any breakage, remove before exercising or engaging in strenuous activities... also sleeping (although not very strenuous!)
- When you're not wearing the jewellery (this will be rare!) store it away from moisture and direct sunlight to avoid oxidisation
BUT... if you're anything like me and never take your jewellery off, that's okay too! After all, Salt & Sun Jewellery is Zookeeper proof (if you know you know!)
